Advanced Query Techniques - XQuery within MDEX

Summary: With the building blocks you will learn in this class, there is no limit to the functionality that you can build into your own Endeca solution. Learn how to take advantage of the XQuery runtime environment that is already running within version 6.1 of the MDEX Engine. There is now a programmatic way for users to extend core engine functionality in nearly any conceivable way by writing in a standard programming language. We will explore MDEX querying features like “customized dimension value ordering” and “type-ahead search” that have been implemented using XQuery. In this hands-on class, you will also have an opportunity to develop your own XQuery stored procedures to solve problems like “customized relevance ranking.”
