CVE 2.0 5-Day Core Training Curriculum Review


The Certified Videoconferencing Engineer (CVE) Core Training Curriculum is a lecture-theory course focused on the four major areas of the CVE Core Exam: Audio, Video, Networks and Standards. During this five-day course, the instructor presents a comprehensive review of the core technologies for videoconferencing planning, implementation and support, which helps to prepare individuals for the CVE Core Examination. **This course is lecture-based, and does not present an opportunity for hands-on work with Polycom equipment.**

Prerequisites:
   CVE students should have at least 1 year of Videoconferencing installations and hardware / software technical support experience. MGC 25/50/100 System Administration Training
This two day instructor-led course, is a hands-on program covering how to configure and control the family of MCUs, the 25, 50 and 100 Models from a Users and System Administrators level. The curriculum is delivered through a combination of lecture and hands-on laboratory exercises. A Network that supports Dedicated and Switched sites is available and ready for students to connect and configure the MGC for video-conferencing to allow the participants to experience various types of multi-point calls.

    Polycom UC - Microsoft Integration (EMEA Only)

    Course Description

    In this 5-day instructor-led course delegates will learn how to integrate Polycom Unified Communications products into a Microsoft environment using Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Office Communicator Service (OCS).

    This course will cover all areas of integration of the Polycom endpoints and infrastructure products including HDX, CMA, DMA and RMX into a Microsoft Active Directory domain environment to achieve a comprehensive unified communications platform.

    Delegates will learn how to configure Polycom products to access AD directory information and to extract information from Microsoft Exchange calendars, as well as integrating with Microsoft OCS to provide multipoint voice and video communications, centralised directory information and presence detection.

    The class will be taught using a combination of presentation, demonstration and hands-on practical labs, allowing the student to fully understand the complex integration tasks involved in installing, operating and supporting a Unified Communications environment.
