SP1601 (Webinar) Data Cleaning and Transformation techniques TIBCO Spotfire Professional
This course teaches analysts and authors techniques they can use to pre process their data from inside TIBCO Spotfire Professional. Data is very rarely suitable for analysis as is, so we will discuss techniques and strategies for cleaning, transforming, and adjusting your data either as it is being loaded in TIBCO Spotfire Professional or after it is already loaded. Techniques include pivoting, unpivoting, using regular expressions, tagging, sampling (using S+), using if and case statement inside an expression, and many more. The webinar will last approximately two hours and will include not only presentation slides ,but also many demos inside TIBCO Spotfire. At the end of the webinar students will get a copy of the slides and demo files used. There is also time at the end of the webinar to ask questions. [Course Length: 2 hours]

SP1610 (Webinar) TIBCO Spotfire Parameters and Properties

This course teaches analysts and authors how to use parameters and properties inside their analysis files. You can use parameters to be more specific about data that you want loaded into TIBCO Spotfire and your analysis files. The information passed into the parameters can come from a variety of sources like external applications, forms, marked rows inside an already loaded analysis file, and many more. We will also discuss how to create personalized information links so that you can create one view of the data for all users, but have the data loaded only pertain to data specific to the current user or group the user is in. We will also discuss how to use properties inside an analysis file to create global variables, or to add additional attributes or meta data to different columns or tables in your data set. [Course length: 2 hours]

SP1620 (Webinar) TIBCO Spotfire Advanced Authoring Best Practices
This course teaches analysts and authors best practices for designing and developing Spotfire Analysis Files. Topics include using the right plot to display your data, standard data analysis strategies, best practices for analysis file design for sizing and scoping and performance, best practices for using data, batch creating and processing analysis files, asking the right questions of your data, and advanced techniques like using column from marked, and color schemes, and many more. [Course Length: 2 hours]

SP1640 (Webinar) Using Custom Expressions in TIBCO Spotfire
The Custom Expressions feature in TIBCO Spotfire is very powerful, since it does not limit you to the predefined aggregation methods. You can group data and create mathematical and logical expressions completely after your own choice. All expressions you create are completely dynamic and are sensitive to your filter panel and other plot properties. This course will teach Analysts and Authors uses of Custom expressions with example files. Topics include: 1. Explain the difference between calculated column and custom expressions, 2. Walkthrough of the same use cases demonstrating scenarios where you cannot use calculated column and you must use custom expressions, 3. Examples of custom expression on an axis, size, shape, color, tooltip, etc..., 4. Best practices for using custom expressions. [Course Length: 2 hours]
