Tracks
Several of our courses have been bundled together in suggested learning tracks to provide knowledge in specific disciplines or career paths.

The available tracks are listed below.

HR Academy
The HR Academy is designed for local government, school district, and special district public-sector HR professionals who need to have a well-rounded grasp of multiple HR disciplines.

This six-course program offers 6.0 CEU credits through California State University, Sacramento - College of Continuing Education and a certificate for completing all six courses within three years. These one-day and two-day classes provide core basics as well as some specialized education.

State employees with a desire for a greater understanding of general HR practices are encouraged to attend, but should be cautioned that the focus is not on State Government processes and procedures.

The six classes are listed below and may be taken in any order, although it is recommended that you take them sequentially if possible.

Labor Relations Series
The Labor Relations Series is designed for State government supervisors, and human resource and labor relations professionals who need to have a well-rounded grasp of labor relation law, processes, and practices.

This five-course program includes an introduction for State supervisors, The Fair Labor Standard Act, employee and employer rights, how to handle grievances, and how to interpret bargaining contracts. You will gain an understanding of these topics through hands-on exercises and be able to apply the knowledge back on the job.

The five classes are listed below and may be taken in any order, although it is recommended that you take them sequentially if possible.
