Allocator Level 1
This learning track covers the allocation process. It also provides an introduction to the software application JDA® Allocation powered by Arthur®.
Each of the courses is structured to help you understand the real-world applications and implications of a successful allocation. In addition, some of the courses will allow you to try your hand at some actual allocations using software simulations. Once you have completed this track, you will be able to perform the necessary tasks to effectively allocate merchandise to the right place in the right amounts.
This training consists of self-paced e-learning as well as instructor-led training. The e-learning must be completed prior to attending the instructor-led training.
You should be a JDA certified Allocator if you:
- Are responsible for sending merchandise
to stores
- Analyze store trends and performance to calculate allocation quantities
- Communicate with stores about inventory
irregularities
- Communicate with vendors or buyers about shipments
- Identify opportunities
- Plan for special events
- Ensure sufficient inventory for promotions (ad in stock)
As a JDA certified Allocator, you will be able to:
- Better allocate merchandise by using store plans and/or historical data.
- Plan for new stores based on like store trends
- More accurately and easily allocate by using store groups based on similar attributes
- Select and use pre-defined variables to allocate
- Save and reuse allocation information
